addictions

So I have a slight addiction.  Each night after dinner I have to feed this addiction.  I start off wavering, thinking “Oh I don’t need that!” and then addiction takes control.  I jump off the couch, race to the kitchen, and grab one of the best chocolate chip muffins ever.  These are home made chocolate chip muffins and are made from a family recipe.  Hopefully Sandy won’t mind that I am sharing this recipe out there, because trust me- once you try these chocolate chip muffins you will soon become addicted- baking almost 2 x a week to make sure there are enough in the cupboard for reserves.

Sandy’s Chocolate Chip Muffins

1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour

1 Cup White Flour

4 tsp. Baking Powder

1/4 cup Brown Sugar

1 Cup Chocolate Chips

1/2 Cup Butter

1 Cup Milk

1 Egg

Preheat oven to 450F.  (We put the muffin tin in the oven while it is warming up). Mix the dry ingredients first (with the exception of the chocolate chips).  Add the butter into the dry mix, and use your hands to break the butter apart.  Mix well.  Add the milk, eggs and chocolate chips.  Put batter into the muffin tin.  Makes about 11-12 muffins.

ENJOY!!
